Definition
An ornate ceramic, glass or metal centerpiece consisting of a set of branching or upright decorative elements (flowers, fruit, animals, figurines etc.), as well as a receptacle (bowl, vase, platter, etc. sometimes equipped with a functional component (candleholder, saltshaker, cruet bottle, etc.). Used for service or to decorate the center of a table.
