Definition
A dress that is often made of white silk, satin, or velvet, and that is usually elaborately trimmed. It may have a train of various lengths attached at the back, and may be accompanied by accessories, such as a veil, gloves, etc. Worn by a bride, and in some cultures, a groom, during the wedding ceremony and sometimes during festivities that follow.
