Definition
A metal tool consisting of two roughly rectangular horizontal jaws, one generally fixed and the other jaw movable, mounted on a base with two slide-rods arranged on either side of a threaded screw running the length of the base. Used to secure a metal piece to the work bench during drilling, tapping or piercing.
