Definition
A metal device consisting of toothed or straight-edged moveable jaws, a pan (trip plate), one or two swivels attached to one or two springs, a clamp, trap setting, and a trap chain. It comes in various sizes. Used to capture an animal (such as a bear or a beaver) and hold it by the limb.
