Definition
An animal- or machine-drawn piece of equipment consisting of a wooden or metal beam equipped with a coulter, a share extending from a moldboard, a pair of wooden handles and sometimes a forecarriage. Used to turn over the sod in order to loosen and aerate it in preparation for sowing.
